Morgan Kennedy: Zip-Cloth Project April 21, 2008

Kennedy creates sculpture that refers to both traditional building techniques and ritual performance. By choosing labor-intensive materials - hardware cloth and zip ties - and repetitive, methodical, techniques, such as thatching, sewing, and weaving, Kennedy represents his interest in ritual and its centrality to the human experience.
