More Than Transportation May 13, 2006

More Than Transportation is a weekend of bike events that we are doing in LA for the fourth time! Today's schedule:

All workshops in Franklin Hall 4 (North part of campus on Vermont Ave) at LA City College.

1230-130pm - Commuting in LA; how to get where you need to go carrying what you need when you get there. Hosted by Cicle.org and Andrea from Eco-Village.

130-230pm - DIY clothing and bike wear; Megan/Moth Attack, Federico, Alec and others will be on hand with some of their homemade goodies for trade/sale and talking about how they make what they do.

230-330pm - Screening of three bike films: 'Even The Girls', 'The Interview' and 'LA Scavenger Hunt'. Directors will be on hand to answer questions.

330-430pm - Beyond Urban Commuting; Matt! and Morgan/Goat will be discussing ultra-distance cycling. Megan/Luz will be on hand to discuss starting a women's cycling group.

430-530pm - Bike related building projects- Max and Jack will building lights for bikes and showing how to do the ever popular fixed gear conversion.

6pm-2am - Team Tall Bike Aids Life Cycle Benefit Party at the A-House, 210 N. Rampart Blvd, 90026.
