MITU is an intelligent, witty, and danceable celebration of the current shift beyond the dying trend of irony and apathy...

Curated and produced by LEARNED EVOLUTION, MITU ('me too') parties will be primarily focused on UK audio-video remix masterminds ECLECTIC METHOD, and flanked by the intelligent comedy and musical performances by MITU resident DISINFORMATIONIST REGGIE WATTS, as well as guest DJs, bands, installations, performance artists, and more.

MITU will launch with two events, beginning FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 8th, 2008 at Galapagos Art Space in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The kick-off event will feature sets by ECLECTIC METHOD, REGGIE WATTS, a special rare sketch comedy performance by internet video phenoms POYKPAC, hot live-electro dance ensemble TIPPY TOES, and the first ever public performance by the UK's wildly popular incendiary comic funk outfit, THE CUBAN BROTHERS. Resident AV-DJ Lars will fill the gaps with his fresh audio-video dance mixes.

With ECLECTIC METHOD & REGGIE WATTS, the second show slated for FEBRUARY 22nd feature a launch party for "I WANT YOU TO WANT ME," the latest interactive online installation, commissioned by MoMA, by JONATHAN HARRIS and SEP KAMVAR. More special guests TBA.
