Fresh off a string of sold-out concerts across Europe, and after six sold out events in Miami, Orlando, Atlanta, New York, Boston and Hartford-CT, Spanish singing sensation Montserratnow brings her bossa nova-infused boleros to San Antonio.
Montserrats second album, Boleros com Bossa (Boleros with Bossa), reached the # 1 in Spain and # 2 in Mexico. Also made Top Ten in countries such as France, Italy, Argentina, Japan and Brazil.
With Montserrats silky voice, legendary composer and musician, Roberto Menescal, revived the Latin American classics found in Boleros com Bossa by setting them to a bossa nova beat.
Boleros com Bossa is Montserrats second album. Her debut production, Aoranza (Longing)a collection of Cuban and Mexican boleros recorded in Havana and Sao Paolofeatured performances with some of Latin musics greatest artists, including Chucho Valds, Pablo Milanes, Po Leiva and the King of Bolero, Mundito Gonzlez.
Boleros com Bossa features twelve new renditions of the most celebrated boleros in the world, including Tu Me Acostumbraste (You Got Me Used To), Bsame Mucho (Kiss Me Often) and Esta Tarde V Llover (Rainy Afternoon).
