MONTEVERDI 1610 VESPERS Presented by The Culwick Choral Society May 19, 2010

Over 100 singers from the Culwick Choral Society will be joined by seven renowned soloists and by two celebrated period-performance ensembles playing instruments dating from Monteverdi’s own era. This performance inspired by how the Vespers would have sounded when first performed in the early 17th century and performed in the magnificent St Patrick’s Cathedral, a building four centuries older even than the Vespers, will be a very special event, not to be missed.
