There's critical fuss about foolsFURY Theater Company! They are recipients of the prestigious 2007 San Francisco Bay Guardian GOLDIE Award for 'Best Discovery in Theater'; their tour to New York's P.S. 122 was met with critical acclaim; and foolsFURY's sensational "The Turn of the Screw" was recognized as "the Best of the SF Fringe."

Check out their 10th anniversary production, "Monster in the Dark," a horrifying and darkly humorous tale about an end-of-the-world-as-we-know-it flood that threatens a peculiar society. (Sound familiar?) Shadowy governments monitor its citizens from beneath black umbrellas and within hidden towers. Businesses literally consumes its citizens and Faith and Anxiety are preached daily on street corners. Plus people jump from the sky with the same frequency as rain.

Life and society are threatened by a watery natural disaster, and the people of "Monster in the Dark" are challenged to redefine themselves and others; who can be trusted, who is necessary, and what is the greatest resource needed to survive. This is a hilarious and deeply disturbing play.
