Monsoon Mela - Charity Programme. The Ladies Wing of the Sindhi Youth Association of Sindhi Hospital, is celebrating this monsoon with the 'Monsoon Mela', a fun and food fiesta. This is a charitable initiative organised by the group to raise funds. The proceeds of the venture will be used for social welfare and in assisting needy patients by providing medical assistance. Various stalls selling an array of products including salwar suits, bed linen, Kashmiri Ethnic Wear, Mens Wear, Women's Accessories like clutch bags and footwear, Home Dcor, and a festival corner, catering to Rakhi and Diwali with decorative Rakhis and Diyas. Besides these you have a special 'Mother's Kitchen' where you can pick up a variety of pickles, various homemade savouries and confectionery items. All the proceeds from this stall are going to be donated to the Ladies Wing. The kids are sure to have a gala time with the various games, like Hoopla, Treasure Chest, Money Plant, Fishing the Bottle. The highlight of the afternoon is definitely going to be the Housie with loads of prizes to be won. One of the other attractions is the presence of Mr Subhendra, eminent handwriting analyst, who will be available for consultation at the venue. He has generously offered to donate his collection towards this worthy cause. The icing on the cake is the Raffle, in three categories. The prizes have been sponsored by members and donors and are worth a lot more than the tickets can buy. According to Aarti, President of the Ladies Wing, 'We hope to make this a grand success and are aiming for many such programs in the future'. How can you have a fun filled day without food? A wide variety of snacks has been catered by Shiv Sagar (Commercial Street). This is a perfect recipe for a wonderful afternoon spent with family and friends.
