Sandagdorj Turburam is a young and extremely gifted Mongolian artist of Bay Area whose activity has been connected with the Silk Road House from the very begining of the institution (the spring 2007). Turburam works in a rare technique named papercut -- he cut his paintings by scissors. The imagery of his arts is pretty broad -- from Mongolian epics to historic figures to the diverse world of nomadic animals and birds. Behind each painting there is a fascinating story bringing out rich and sofisticated collection of traditional symbols and ideas. His paintings are of different sizes.

Free to the public.
