Richmond, Virginia 23220

Though we're seeing an indefinite halt of music and art shows in atypical venues here in Richmond, the movement to keep creating, shifting and making noise hasn't stopped. While activity has moved into the shadows, crammed into tiny coffee shops and transmuted onto the World Wide Web, a handful of venues have maintained their footing and continue to host musicians' and artists' creative endeavors.

Gallery 5 accommodates events ranging from the performing arts to visual arts to outright rock shows and is hosting 'Monday Night Moving Pictures and Music' – a stream-of-consciousness smörgåsbord of video, film and music reflecting the overflow of artistic endeavors needing a space to exist.

Rare 16mm films: from dark archives of yore and short, abrasive and disarming videos from Celie Dailey and Jordan Bruner will open the show and spill over into live music set against ....

TV mixtapes – a dizzying collection of late night commercials, infomercials, local news, Chairobics and entertainment news clips.

Performances by: Hot Lava, the Native Young (from Bloomington, IN) and Cubscout and the Rhinoceros.
