With an eclectic score ranging from birdsongs to Vivaldi, Botanica follows the rhythms of the seasons and the passing of a day. MOMIX combines larger-than-life athletic dance, riveting music, inventive costumes and props to create a world of surrealistic images. The dancer-illusionists of MOMIX have been at the bottom of the sea, on the moon, in the desert, and even at the ballpark, and with their latest work Botanica, MOMIX will shimmy, drift, swell, flutter, creep, flare, undulate, and germinate fresh views on an earthly garden with a decidedly other-worldly slant.
