Mayor Newsom in conversation with celebrity political satirist Molly Ivins at Planned Parenthood Golden Gate's annual fundraiser/ celebration of the anniversary of Roe v. Wade, January 19th at Herbst Theatre. Ms. Ivins' witty and incisive assessment of conservative politics is sure to fill the house.

Molly Ivins began her career covering the infamous Texas legislature of the seventies and has gone on to become an independent political journalist. She is the author of six best selling books including, "Who Let the Dogs In? Strange Political Animals I have Known" and "Bushwhacked". Her freelance work has appeared in Esquire, Harper's, Atlantic, The Nation, The Progressive, Mother Jones, and TV Guide.
