Mojácar Flamenco Latin & Jazz Music and Dance concert February 12th February 12, 2010

Join the phenomenal Mojácar Flamenco at the COFFEE GALLERY BACKSTAGE on Friday, February 12, 2010 at 8:00pm for sizzling HOT Flamenco, Latin/Jazz music and dance, with guitar virtuoso Stephen Dick, dance dynamo Katerina Tomás and Latin percussionist Pablo Alemann. The show features musical favorites from their two original albums Al Que Quiere and Mojácar at the Madrid, brand new flamenco jazz music, fiery flamenco dancing, and outstanding flamenco songs from the late, great Spanish singer, Camaron de la Isla. This show will knock your socks off!

Eight time winners of the Spanish Ministry of Culture grant award, both artists have also won L.A. Treasures Awards from the City of Los Angeles for their performances and research in the field of flamenco. Flamenco has taken them across the U.S. and Canada on tour, and the duo has performed in competition and on Spanish television in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain. Their concert shows have garnered praise from all quarters, including a review from the San Diego Union that called the duet “musical and visual poetry."
