Moe’s Bookstore in Berkeley to Host a Free Tasting of Their First Tea Blend July 23, 2011

Moe’s Bookstore in Berkeley, California will host a complimentary tea tasting on Saturday, July 23 from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m.

The tea to be tasted will be Moe’s Breakfast Tea, a custom blend created exclusively for the bookstore by the Lhasa Karnak Herb Company. This black tea blend is comprised of a combination of Darjeeling and Ceylonese Orange Pekoe which produces subtle floral notes of jasmine and bergamot and is designed to be bold and strong, while at the same time refreshing and inviting on the palette. Moe’s Breakfast Tea is sold in a 3 oz. size tin at Moe’s Bookstore and retails for $12.50.

Commenting on the decision to commission the development of a custom tea blend, Moe’s proprietor Doris Moskowitz says, “I felt that it would be a way to encourage everyone to take a moment, slow down, drink a cup of tea, and read.
