Modigliani Quartet October 25, 2012

The first of seven European quartets appearing this season with PCMS, the Paris-based Modigliani Quartet brings its “immense musical gifts” (Washington Post) stateside for its Kimmel Center debut. Cornerstone works by Haydn and Schumann precede Ravel’s ever-stirring, exquisitely Gallic Quartet in F Major, one of the most immediately thrilling works in all of chamber music.
