Modern Victory Gardens: Vegetable Gardening Educational Series August 8, 2009

Prepare for fall with the August installment of the Victory Gardens series. We’ll talk about soil basics/bed preparation, home propagation, and extending summer crops and starting the fall/winter crops. After class, join us for a field trip to Stonewall Jackson Elementary where we'll see one of the best gardens in our city. Mark Painter, creator of the garden, will showcase all the veggie plants that are in season this summer and fall.
