We are pleased to present the solo exhibition of an artist from the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich, Germany Kristina Buckley.

“Modern pregnancy” shows several drawings on paper with markers and pencils, and also includes a sculpture of the same title. The sculpture is made of steel, foam insulation, plaster and asphalt.

The central performance work will be a pregnant stripper dancing on a pole, on the opening night, from 9pm-11pm.

Kristina Buckley about her new work: A lot of my work reflects directly from the society i am in, at that very moment. The theme “modern pregnancy” is very relevant. For a woman in the western society there is no adequate way of being pregnant. The way a woman feels during her pregnancy is the essential basis of the structure of the new human. Like this we are slowly formed into unsocial behavior. Although the pregnancy is just one aspect, it is a very essential one.
