Modern Moments - Recent Gifts in American Photography October 21, 2009

The Robert Mapplethorpe exhibition and accompanying symposium have successfully launched the new focus on photography at the Palm Springs Art Museum, bringing national attention to our collection. Modern Moments will feature some of the recent gifts that have come from three collectors who have donated significant photographs in support of this new emphasis: Patricia and Patrick Kennedy, Jeanne and Dan Fauci, and Pamela and Joe Bonino. All three of these collectors have given works that span the history of photography, but the focus of this exhibition is post-World War II American photography.
