Raised by Jewish hippies in Boonville California, Mandel cut his comedy teeth in London, not an easy task for an American who despises the British. Having alienated himself from everyone in the greater London area, Mandel moved home to the Bay Area in 2004 and quickly established himself as a solid comedy talent.
