'M.L.K. Jr. Poster Contest exhibition' is a juried exhibition featuring the artwork of Alexandria elementary school students (grades 1-5). The students' artwork illustrates the ideals of Dr. Martin Luther King, Junior's nonviolent movement. Cash prizes are awarded for first, second and third place winners in all participating grades. An awards program recognizing the students is presented on the official national holiday.
