Spend a delightful afternoon with Miyabi, a traditional Japanese music group who play the Koto – a Japanese stringed instrument.

Koto is made of paulownia wood, is 6 feet in length and is 12 inches wide. It has 13 strings and 13 movable bridges. By moving the bridges, the performers can tune traditional scale: penta-tonic to Western scale: solfa.

This concert will feature Etsuko Akaka, Yuko Asano and Harumi Omitsu playing the Koto; Nobuko Kato on the piano and Satoko Fujiwara on the flute.
