Mission Open Studios at WorkSpace Ltd. October 9, 2009

More than 30 artists will open their studios to the public in WorkSpace, Ltd for the Annual October Open Studios weekend. Many are award winning artists who have displayed throughout the United States and Internationally, as well as in the Bay Area, including one who was invited into the Florence, Italy Biennale of 2009. Event dates have been set for Oct. 9th, 10th & 11th.

Friday evening, October 9th, in the downstairs gallery, there will be a preview of art from participating Open Studio artists starting at 9pm, with live music and wine for your enjoyment. Prior to the preview, studios will be open to visitors from 7pm to 9pm, only. Studios will re-open at 11 am on Saturday and Sunday and remain open until 6 pm both days. Come and enjoy wonderful art and meet the artists who created this art. WorkSpace, Ltd is located within walking distance to many other participating Mission District studio buildings. A map directing you to the other locations will be available.

WorkSpace is home to many professional artists who have contributed much to the arts, including workshops, teaching and curating. Their solo and group show records are long and impressive. Come meet them and see why they are recognized as some of the most creative members of the art community.

The WorkSpace building is an old laundry facility, located at 2150 Folsom St. between 17th and 18th. There is convenient street parking and easy bus access.
