MISS REPRESENTATION

RIVERSIDE THEATRES
Monday 29 October at 7pm

A documentary film written and directed by Jennifer Siebel Newsom, Miss Representation, is a moving look into the genuine reality of women and their role and representation within mainstream media. Miss Representation is screening on Monday 29 October at Riverside Theatres as part of the Screen Cafe series.

Like drawing back a curtain to let bright light stream in, Miss Representation uncovers a glaring reality we live with every day but fail to see. Its subject matter is so powerful and poignant that it has sparked an entire movement among political leaders and educators. The film exposes how mainstream media contribute to the under-representation of women in positions of power and influence.

Screen Cafe is a series of monthly film screenings at Riverside Theatres which brings film enthusiasts and filmmakers together to watch, learn, discuss and network in a candid, interactive and inclusive atmosphere.
