As part of the annual Staunton Music Festival, MIRA will present a concert of magical music from England of the 13th and 14th centuries, along with a number of quirky, lovely and ethereal pieces from 20th century British composer, Benjamin Britten. This exciting program, blending beautifully uncommon medieval songs with wonderfully witty and somewhat wild 20th century pieces, promises a journey out of time that will leave listeners with delicious dreamscapes to refresh and renew their inner lives.

MIRA, an early music ensemble from central Virginia is directed by noted performer, teacher and medievalist, Debbie Hunter. They have been developing their very unique sound for a mere four years, leaving fans to wonder what exciting programs they might expect in upcoming years from this entertaining and thought-provoking new group.
