Minnesota Orchestra: A Fleezanis Farewell April 4, 2009

Hungarian Gilbert Varga is the guest conductor. The concert begins with a pairing of Poland's great composers of the past and present, spotlighting the virtuosity of Concertmaster Jorja Fleezanis in Szymanowski's Violin Concerto No. 1. Also on the program is Dukas' 'The Sorcerer's Apprentice' and R. Strauss' 'Till Eulenspiegel's Merry Pranks.'
