Minnesota Music Fund for Cuba Benefit Concert May 1, 2008

The Minnesota Music Fund for Cuba is planning a benefit concert to support music and arts education in Cuba. Attendees are asked to bring donations of used musical instruments and arts supplies, which will be sent to Cuba on a Pastors for Peace caravan in summer 2008.

There will also be salsa dancing in the Main Room. Admission is $8, and all proceeds will be used to purchase musical instruments and arts supplies for Cuban youth. Additional contributions can be made at the show.

This concert represents an opportunity to support creative arts
education, and to broaden cultural exchange and understanding between the US and Cuba. As Cuban governance enters a period of transition, this exchange can help support Cuba's vibrant culture and the artistic capacities of its citizens.
