The 13th annual Model Engineering Show will be held at the Charles River Museum of Industry on Saturday, February 21, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. his show features the craftsmanship of the New England Model Engineering Society, whose members will be on hand to demonstrate and discuss their scale models of working steam engines. They will also exhibit gasoline engines, aircraft engines, locomotives, clocks, model boats, and various contraptions of their own design.  Several exhibits feature hands-on experiments.  This is the 13th annual model engineering show, and some of the past exhibits have included a miniature working grist mill, a remote control tractor, sculptural puzzles, miniature working flutes, and more.

The Model Engineering Show is included with general museum admission, which is $6 for adults and $4 for seniors and students. Children under 6 years old are free. Also included with admission is The Bicycle Takes Off, the museum’s special exhibition highlighting the entertaining and sometimes absurd history of what some have called the most efficient machine ever made.
