Military Ministry News at St. Mary Immaculate Parish, Plainfield

Please help us support our troops by participating in pne or more of these programs.

Collection of Names & Photos
Please share with us how proud you are about your Military person. The Military Ministry is collecting the names and photos of any military personnel (past and present) for purposes of having a monthly prayer service and proudly displaying their photos on our military wall. Please, by May 31st, place their names and photos in the drop-off box in The Commons across from the Reception desk.

"For Our Troops" Collection Drive
Have you ever gone without Coffee, Toilet Paper or Shaving Cream? The Military Ministry is collecting the following items for shipment to our troops:
Pajama Pants, Toilet Paper , Peanut Butter (28 oz or less), Jelly (32 oz or less; NO Glass Please), Mayonnaise (Individual Packets), Crackers (1# box or less), Antacids/Tums/Rolaids (small rolls or bottles), Coffee Single Packs, Foot Powder (20 oz or less), Shaving Cream (non aerosol), Lotion for Men (16 oz or less), Mouthwash/Dental Rinse (20 oz or less). Please, by May 31st, place items in the drop-off box in The Commons across from the Reception desk.

Letter Writing
Have you ever felt the joy of hearing from a loved one from afar? The joy of having someone thanking you for all that you do, without expecting it? The joy of knowing you are appreciated? The Military Ministry is having a letter writing to the Troops event on the following Sunday’s April 11, 25/May 2, 23 & 30 in the Gym from 8am to 12pm. Please come and show your support for our Military Men and Woman by witting to them.
