Milford, Ohio 45150

Milford, Ohio, a small community east of Cincinnati, is just about like any other town its size -- good schools, distinguished churches, and solid businesses, a past and present to be proud of.

It's just like any other little town, except for fours days in early June, when Milford becomes a frontier community once more. That's the time to see Milford -- during Frontier Days!

It's always the first weekend in June, and it's always a team effort overseen by the Milford Area Chamber of Commerce. Frontier days began in 1965 as a way to celebrate the heritage of this southwestern Ohio town. Such diverse groups as church and school organizations, businesses and athletic associations, come together to make Frontier Days Milford's biggest annual event.

Frontier Days has all the earmarks of a traditional hometown festival, including a big kickoff parade that's getting bigger every year. In past years, thousands of people have lined the streets of Milford to see the floats, bands and marching units. But Frontier days also includes all the uniqueness that keeps Milford people in the "frontier spirit" all year-round.

Frontier Days combines the distinct character of southwestern Ohio with the noise and color of a carnival...it's all here, from balloons to bratwurst, from cotton candy to craft booths. (And the rides, games and sticky treats usually take a back seat to some of Frontier Days' special features and contests.) The celebration is distinctively Milford's, yet it's meant to be shared. Anyone who has seen Frontier Days knows that sharing is something Milford does very well.

Milford is a friendly, active community whose business people and community leaders will put on a great show for you during Frontier Days. Come early to get a good seat for the parade and stay until the food runs out on Sunday night. And welcome home, to Milford and Frontier Days!
