On Q Productions, now in its second season as a resident company of NC Blumenthal Performing Arts Center is proud to open the DC Black Theater Festival with Concrete Generation's, Miles & Coltrane: Blue(.)

This work tells the story of two of the most influential and controversial figures in jazz: Miles Davis & John Coltrane. Featuring award winning poet......s, musicians, dancers, and actors, weaving together all artistic mediums, this show takes us on a journey through the artists' lives and the legacy they left behind.

Come and check out the show Euan Andrews of Edinburgh Guide describes as "an intriguing production which evoked the spirits of Miles and Coltrane's work while portraying them as wildly different characters. Miles the aloof scene-stealer, fiercely proud of his heritage, with Coltrane forever in search of his own inner salvation".

Retta Blaney of NYC, Life upon the Sacred Stage says, "Every year at this time I discover a little gem or two...This year it was MILES & COLTRANE: BLUE (.) by Concrete Generation... It was simply done, just actors telling the story and musicians playing the music -- no props or scenery, and that was just fine." Come and enjoy an evening about the lives of Miles Davis & John Coltrane!
