Mike Zilber Quartet April 26, 2007

Michael Zilber is one of the best musicians of his generation. He is a consummate composer and improviser of the first order. Zilber achieves a rare balance of technical prowess and raw passion on tenor and soprano saxophones. His bandmates, all leaders in their own right, will be trombonist John Gove, bassist Peter Barshay and drummer Jeff Marrs. This is a group that is bound to surprise and delight with imaginative yet accessible straight-ahead jazz.
