A lifelong book lover, Former Atlanta Hawk player and broadcaster Mike Glenn has taken advantage of the travels that his career has allowed to frequent bookstores across the country and to amass an enviable collection of titles dealing with the African-American experience. Resulting from his reading and collecting have been several volumes in a series of books he has published himself called "Lessons from My Library."

The latest in the series is Frederick Douglass: The Founding Father of Slavery Free America. Pre Civil War Years 1818-1860. Glenn will discuss his work, his collection and autograph books at the Georgia Center for the Book's Decatur Library Auditorium on Wednesday night, June 11 beginning at 7 p.m.

Mike Glenn's appearance is FREE and open to the public.
