That moment, though it seems like only yesterday to Bears fans, was 25 years ago. The 1985 Chicago Bears set a standard for NFL success that has not been matched in the past quarter century. The Patriots and the Colts have come close, but both failed in the ultimate test, losing in the Super Bowl after terrific regular seasons. Only the Bears parlayed their spectacular one-loss season by cruising through the playoffs and finally crushing the New England Patriots 46-10 in Super Bowl XX.
