Migration presents Pura Vida, DJ Jethro Down May 6, 2006

So there comes a time when you just have to crack out the best tunes in your record collection. Problem is that most of us only get to play them to ourselves. And vinyl, being the only real alternative to digital these days, is such a deliciously tactile format that sounds somehow more fulfilling to the senses, well it makes perfect sense that you would want to play your records to all your friends, right? In the selfish interest of wanting to play our favorite tunes to all our friends, DJ Joelskool, Ned Folkerth and myself decided we?d try and get a monthly club up and running. Migration makes it?s home at the White Eagle in Portland?s Albina District, just around the corner from the Gotham Tavern. DJ Jethro Down will be spinning first, followed by Pura Vida; DJ Joelskool on the decks accompanied by Ned Folkerth on drums, electronic fritchings and loops.
