Too rare to miss, too powerful to contain, the entire evening is full of live performances by the movers & shakers from the Bay's burgeoning hip hop community.

In their San Francisco debut, the Mighty Underdogs boast three all star members; Headnodic (Crown City Rockers), Lateef the Truth Speaker (Latryx) and Gift of Gab (Blackalicious). Collaboration is so fluid, it just might cause a flood when their album "Dropping Science Fiction" is released on Def Jux later this year. Raashan Ahmad, the versatile emcee who fronts (live hip hop band) Crown City Rockers with panache, uses the night to celebrate his first full length solo release. "The Push" (Om Records) has already enjoyed much success, and with rave reviews and features on I-Tunes, Raashan should be well on his way to critical acclaim.
