The Midwest Independent Film Festival is honored to present the critically acclaimed, controversial political thriller, DEATH OF A PRESIDENT (D.O.A.P.) Winner of the International Critics' Prize at the Toronto Film Festival, the film is conceived as a fictional TV documentary broadcast in 2008 and follows the investigation of the fictional assassination of President George W. Bush in October 2007. Combining real archival footage with a credible but fictional story, DEATH OF A PRESIDENT presents a fascinating and thought-provoking political thriller.
The Midwest Independent Film Festival is a monthly film event dedicated to showcasing emerging directors, powerful artistic visions and strong cinematic stories from the eight-state Midwest region.
