It’s hard to believe it’s been nearly 25 years since Midori’s legendary performance at Tanglewood: the one that resulted in The New York Times front page headline, "Girl, 14, Conquers Tanglewood with 3 Violins.” Today the one-time child prodigy remains “a superb violinist in a class by herself” (Baltimore Sun). Known for her lustrous tone and sensitive interpretations, Midori returns to the Perelman Theater with her favorite accompanist, pianist Robert McDonald, for a program featuring sonatas by Mozart, Bartók and Bach.
