September 16th - September 18th @ 11:55pm

As part of the 01SJ Biennial, on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights, three midnight concerts by contemporary sound artists will take place inside one of San Jose's historic venues, Trinity Episcopal Cathedral. Curated by one of the artists, Stephen Vitiello - originally a punk guitarist - the series includes performances by Steve Roden, Olivia Block, and Molly Berg who is performing with Vitiello.

While there are connections and a common vocabulary among the participants, the co-presenters are singular artists in the fields of sound art and experimental music.

Each has a unique sound and a body of work that is truly significant. Their work has proven influential in a growing and rich field of musicians with interests in site-specific projects, as well as field recordings and processed instruments. Each manages to straddle the line between the worlds of electronic music and the fine arts, at times performing, creating installations, objects, and flat work for exhibitions, internationally.

Friday, September 17

Saturday, September 18
