The former drummer for the Grateful Dead, Mickey Hart is a drummer, an ethnomusicologist, and author. Among his solo releases are 'Rolling Thunder,' 'Planet Drum' and 'Mickey Hart's Mystery Box.' Zakir Hussain is widely acknowledged as the world's foremost master of the Indian tabla and has collaborated with global talents such as George Harrison, Ravi Shankar, Van Morrison and more. Puerto Rican native and conga player Giovanni Hidalgo has been able to combined the rhythms of reggae, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Dominica, Africa and jazz sounds into his own music. He is considered by many to be one of the top percussionists playing today. Sikiru Adepoju is a percussionist and recording artist from Nigeria, Africa, primarily in the genres of traditional African music and world music.
