The Michigan Womyn's Music Festival has been held every August on 650 acres of Michigan woodland for over 30 years. The MichFest Half-Way Soirée party is in celebration of the transformative, inspiring, and talented intergenerational community that has flourished at the Michigan Womyn's Music Festival. The festival has remained a pilgrimage of thousands drawn to feminist-infused music, performance, and art.

MichFest Half-Way Soirée 2006 & 2005 featured musicians Bitch, Nedra Johnson, and Liz Kelly and was attended by hundreds from across the nation. NYC's 2005 Half-Way Soirée was the first of it's kind and spawned a Half-Way party nation-wide movement which has grown to over a dozen of celebrations.
