Authors Jan Yanehiro and Michealene Cristini Risley know one thing for certain about the success of their book, This Is Not the Life I Ordered, life still keeps sending each of them curveballs!

After their first book tour, Jan struggled through an unexpectedly messy divorce, a move to San Francisco and a new job as the Founding director of the School of Multi-Media Communications at the Academy of Arts. Michealene went off to Zimbabwe to film a documentary about the rape and abuse of infants there, and ended up in a Zimbabwe prison and deported to South Africa.

Join the authors as they share their continued stories with humor and fortitude. Michealene will also share a sneak preview of her upcoming documentary, “Tapestries of Hope.” In good times and in bad, Jan and Michealene both realize that, “Yes, life is never what you order.”
