CHAMPIONSHIP FIGURE SKATING LIVE IN VIRGINIA: Three-time U.S. National Figure Skating Champion and two-time Olympic figure skater, Michael Weiss, has his roots in Northern Virginia and his heart with promising young skaters who dream of Olympic Gold. Thus, he established the Michael Weiss Foundation (MWF), a non-profit organization offering scholarships to help aspiring young figure skaters achieve Olympic glory. The 6th Annual "Ice Champions LIVE!" fundraising event will be held on Sunday, October 24th at 5 pm, at Kettler Capitals Iceplex, in Arilington, Va. Sharing the ice with Michael will be Olympic, World and National Champions, including Brian Boitano, Ilia Kulik, Todd Eldredge, Kimmie Meissner, Silvia Fontana, Christina Gao, John Zimmerman, Ryan Bradley, Sinead and John Kerr, and more.
Local favorites include U.S. Junior National Medalist, Armin Mahanoozadeh, and the Capital Steps Synchronized Skate Team.
