Michael Schiefel at the Yerba Buena Gardens Festival August 23, 2007

The 2007 Yerba Buena Gardens Festival features nearly 100 events, including classical and jazz concerts, opera, international music events, theater, dance, children's and family programs, visual art exhibits, educational programs and cultural events.

The Goethe-Instituts contribution to this festival is Michael Schiefel, vocal jazz artist and professor at the "Franz Liszt Conservatory of Music" in Weimar. Since the early 90s he has inspired fans in Berlin and around the world. He is praised for his timbre, the precision in his intonation, stylistic flexibility and his very personal celebration of creativity.
