Michael Owcharuk is a Seattle, Washington-based composer and pianist who was born and raised in New York City. Currently, he leads the Michael Owcharuk Trio and The Owcharuk Sextet, both devoted to performing his original compositions, and organizes various ensembles and concerts to perform his own work, the work of local composers, new music, straight-ahead jazz, vocal standards and popular music of the 20th century.
