Michael McDonald is best known for his role as Stuart, among other characters, on the sketch comedy show MADtv. He became the longest tenured cast member, starring on the show for ten years. McDonald has also written and directed several episodes since leaving the show. He is the only cast member to have a Best Of Compilation Episode on MADtv.

Among other credits, Michael McDonald has held roles in all three Austin Powers movies, Seinfeld, Ellen, Scrubs and Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List. Michael McDonald is currently touring to country and working on writing, directing and acting in various film roles.
