Michael Clark's acclaimed Stravinsky Project concludes with a new work, I do, presented alongside O and Mmm... in one highly charged evening. This is the culmination of a three-year collaboration between Clark and the Barbican, in association with Dance Umbrella, to produce a trilogy of works to seminal dance scores by Igor Stravinsky, now performed together for the first time.

I do, set to Les Noces, concludes Clark’s dialogue with Stravinsky in the affirmative, confirming and celebrating the marriage between classicism and modernism, tradition and innovation. All three Stravinsky scores will be performed live: Apollo by the Britten Sinfonia; The Rite of Spring staged to Stravinsky’s arrangement for piano duet, and Les Noces features the New London Chamber Choir. The conductor is Jurjen Hempel.

‘Time and again the choreography delivers a controlling hypnotic spell until, like a whiplash, it awakens us to a vibrant reality.’
THE TIMES on Mmm…

‘The most creative dialogue ever between Clark's classical and criminal alter-egos.’
