1439 El Prado
San Diego, California 92101

With San Diego bordering Mexico, the folk arts of our neighbor to the south are richly represented in the museum's collection. Religious paintings (retablos) and votive offerings (milagros), textiles (rugs, shawls, traditional clothing), masks, kitchen pottery, metal work, baskets, painted clay and wood figures and dolls and toys are represented. Significant Pre-Columbian objects in clay and stone round out this collection.
