Grammy winner Robert Cray will headline the 28th annual Metro Fountain Blues Festival on Saturday, May 10, 2008 from 12:30 to 8:00 p.m. on the San Carlos Plaza at San José State University.
In addition to Cray (who will begin at 6:30 p.m.), the festival line up includes another Grammy winner: Koko Taylor and her Blues Machine (who will begin at 5:15 p.m.). Other artists include Sonny Landreth (3:45 p.m.), The Smokin’ Joe Kubek Band featuring Bnois King (2:30 p.m.), and bay area locals The Shane Dwight Band (1:30 p.m.) and Maxx Cabello Jr. (12:30 p.m.)
In addition to great music, patrons can enjoy food and craft vendors, a beer and wine garden, state of the art sound, and a family friendly atmosphere.
The Metro Fountain Blues Festival is the longest running free of charge blues festival in America and hosts over 8000 blues enthusiasts throughout the day.
