Come to Reno’s newest and hottest night spot for the Mesa Luna Social at The Edge. An evening with the flavor of Old Havana and New York City combined. The night starts with a salsa dance lesson taught by BB of Salsa Reno, voted "Best Dance Instructor in Northern Nevada 2009" in the Reno News and Review Reader's Poll. Then you will have the chance to put your new dance moves to work DJ Zorro, voted "Best Club DJ in Northern Nevada 2009" will play a mix of Salsa, Merengue, Bachata and Timba. Mixed in will be some of the hottest Club sounds coming from the Tropics. Between 11 PM and Midnight the Pre-Party will slowly transition to the Friday Night Social. Then party all night long at The Edge with the hottest club mixes till 4 AM.

Table Minimums
1 bottle minimum is required for parties of less that 8 people
2 bottle minimum is required for parties of 8 or more people

Tables held till 12:30 AM
The EDGE will hold your table until 12:30 AM. If a reservation does not show up the table will be sold at after 12:30 AM.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I sit at a table when it's empty?
During the Mesa Luna Social your welcome to sit at a table, however if the table is already reserved please know that someone has already paid for their reservation. A VIP host or cocktail server will come around to clear the table before the party with the reservation arrives.

Generally how long can I use a table for free?
The EDGE Employees will start clearing reserved tables around 10 PM. This is when EDGE opens for their regular clubs hours.

How do I find out if tables are available?
Call Megan McCleod the VIP Manager or tell one of the EDGE Employees that you're interested in a table the night of and they will find her for you.

Originally from Los Angeles, BB of Salsa Reno has been dancing Salsa for over 15 years and teaching since 2002. He regularly studies salsa with top salsa dance instructors from around the world. His current salsa teachers are John and Liz of Salsamania in Oakland, CA, ranked sixth in the world and he is endorsed to teach Bachata by Rodney "Rodchata" Aquino, a World renown Bachata instructor from the SF Bay area. Recently BB of Salsa Reno was voted "Best Dance Instructor in Northern Nevada 2009" in the Reno News and Review Reader's poll.
BB of Salsa Reno has also been honored by Salsagang.com for his outstanding contributions to the salsa industry in the Reno/Truckee area and he was named "best salsa instructor in town" by Reno Magazine in January 2009. He teaches a comprehensive salsa dance program at the Gemini Ballroom in Reno where the beginning lesson on Mondays from 6 to 7 PM is always FREE.

Salsa Reno is Reno's best Latin dance program. Students will have the opportunity to dance salsa at various locales in and around Reno to help bring what you learn in the studio out into the "real world" of salsa. BB of Salsa Reno is the host and resident instructor for the Mesa Luna Salsa Party at The Edge Nightspot at The Peppermill Hotel/Casino Resort, the Havana Mambo at Cantina Del Lobo inside the Joe Crowley Student Union at the University of Nevada, Reno and Salsa Sundays at Aura Ultra Lounge inside the Silver Legacy Resort and Casino. BB of Salsa Reno is legendarily known for the best Salsa dance parties in the Reno area. Past events include Baila en la Playa at The Beach at the Grand Sierra Resort, Cafe Tabu, Hot Salsa Fridays at UNR and Latin Thursdays at Nikki Beach's Pearl Champagne Lounge. Currently BB's studio classes have almost 200 students and his parties usually have anywhere from 100-700 people. He feels confident you're learning a dance with a strong following that's embraced by anyone that has heard about this exotic blend of Afro-Cuban-Caribbean music that is globally recognized as "Salsa."
