Mergence gears up to release their debut album and command an army of vibrant young fans along the way. The New Album “Those Vibrant Young People Are Dead” is a ballsy debut album taking you on a journey through life, love, sex, and death; so full of emotion it has moved people to tears. The Album was recorded mostly live (who does that anymore?) and produced by Bob Hoag and Mergence at Flying Blanket Recording. You will definitely get your money’s worth from this band whether in the studio or on stage.

Brian Coughlin from “Kinch” gave it a couple spins and replied back with “Holy ****! Your record is killer!” Mergence is on a journey to somewhere, you just know it. Listening to this record is like leaving earth for a brief span of time and letting your soul grow just a little bit more than you thought you would. It takes you with them. It doesn’t ask for you to come, it just beams you up and shows you their universe. These four guys from Phoenix have a lot in store for the world if they keep making music like this.

The band consists of vocalist/guitarist/keyboardist Adam Bruce, guitarist The Yod, Bassist Brandon Shupe and Drummer Jason Roedl. The College Times say’s “Lead singer Adam Bruce’s drunken swagger, an updated version of Jim Morrisson’s laid-back, rolls-off-the-tongue phrasing, is blended with blues rock influences from Led Zeppelin to the modern Black Keys” and gave the new CD an “A” rating. AZ Music Connect compared their sound to a “…bluesy Counting Crows” and “…the vocals walk gracefully over the music”

The February 4th album release at The Sail Inn will include Phoenix bands “What Laura Says” and “Black Carl” making for a great lineup. If you need to hear it now you can get a limited time sneak peak here http://snd.sc/b5RrQA.
