Meredith Monk and Vocal Ensemble October 18, 2008

Meredith Monk is a renowned composer, singer, director and choreographer. Monk uses her voice as a finely tuned instrument, and through her voice and the voices of her ensemble Monk is able to create a haunting, poignant, terrifying and sometimes screamingly funny vocal whirlwind. This new multi-disciplinary work is a poetic journey to a place where music, dance, and video portraits reflect the delicacy and power of the human spirit.
